Dear Queen of Apostles Families,

This year the school is pleased to offer 4 extra-curricular after-school clubs for the students!  The clubs will cost a nominal fee for materials and compensation.  Each club will take place on the school grounds, end at 4:30, and occur on Thursday (unless otherwise noted).  Please see below for specific club information.

 

Chess Club

A favorite club from the past!  Students will work on learning basic chess rules to improving strategy and game play.

Requesting: 1-2 parent volunteers to assist

Parent sponsor: Mr. Villarreal (4th grade parent)

Registration: 3rd-8th graders; maximum of 10 students per month (dependent on number of volunteers)

Dates:  Nov 15, Nov 29, Dec 13, Dec 20, Jan 17, Jan 31, Feb 14, Feb 28, Mar 7, Mar 21, Apr 18, May 9, May 30

Cost: $5 for each class

 

Cooking Club

Back by popular demand!  This club will focus on making healthy snacks and meals so students can recreate their masterpieces for themselves and families.

Faculty sponsors: Miss Killion and Miss Twaddle

Registration: 4th-8th graders; maximum of 12 students per month

Dates: Oct 11, Nov 15, Dec 13, Jan 17, Feb 14, Mar 7, Apr 18, May 9

Cost: $10 for first class attended, $5 each additional class

 

Photography Club

A brand new experience!  This club will help students learn the basics of photography and editing.  Required: Student must have digital camera (no cell phones or iPads, etc)

Faculty sponsor: Mrs. Arias

Registration: 5th-8th graders; maximum of 10 students per month

Dates: Oct 18, Nov 15, Dec 20 Jan 24, Feb 21, Mar 21, Apr 18, May 23

Cost: $10 for first class attended, $5 each additional class

 

Drama Club

Developed from your requests!  This club will allow students an opportunity to participate in a performance and teach basic stage skills.  REQUESTING: 1-2 parent volunteers to assist Faculty Sponsor: Miss VanLieshout

Registration: 2nd-4th graders; maximum of 25 students per month (dependent on number of parent volunteers) *May open to 1st graders during 2nd semester*

Dates: Oct 18, Nov 15, Dec 20, Jan 31, Feb 28, Mar 21, Apr 18, May 30 (may add more dates 2nd semester)

Cost: $10 for first class attended, $5 each additional class
