It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I welcome you to the 2012-2013 school year!

As the principal of Queen of Apostles School, I feel truly blessed to be part of the supportive community here.  Recently, I came across this quote:

“Christ changes men, who then change their environment”

This summarizes well what we strive to do here in our Catholic school community, to provide our students with something that is truly formative and lasting. A true, complete education which addresses the whole person—body, mind, and soul—is powerful, enduring, and life changing for a child and for those whom he/she will affect throughout life.

At Queen of Apostles School we embrace the mission of Catholic education as defined by the Church, ” to create for the school community a special atmosphere animated by the Gospel spirit of freedom and charity, to help youth grow according to the new creatures they were made through baptism as they develop their own personalities, and finally to order the whole of human culture to the news of salvation so that the knowledge the students gradually acquire of the world, life and man is illumined by faith.” (Declaration on Christian Education, 25)

Each person, whether parent, teacher, staff or student has the opportunity and expectation to grow in knowledge and virtue and so build up the community and to be that unique gift to others as God intended us to be.

Together in close partnership with parents, we serve God’s children and daily strive to bring forth their potential in intellect, emotion, talents, and faith, so that they will forever shine as jewels before their Creator.

Sincerely,

Amy McNeill

Principal

Message from Our Pastor

Welcome to the Queen of Apostles School website!

At our school we strive to educate your children as best we can in all areas, especially in their faith.

As a Catholic school, we participate in the mission of the Church, to announce the Good News of Jesus Christ to all people, to transmit the faith to the next generation, and to celebrate the gratuitous gift of God’s love for us in the Sacraments.  As we do this authentically, our communion in Christ is created and nourished.

The Catholic Church teaches that parents are the primary educators of their children in everything, especially the faith.

We look forward to serving you as we help you in your own vocation as parents.

God bless,

Fr. Kevin Walsh

Pastor
